Day 19 // More Resting

Hey guys,

JoAnne's abdominal cleaning procedure was postponed just now until tomorrow; the OR has been slammed and her wound vac (cleaning) is not as high a priority. Originally scheduled for tomorrow, they'll do both the abdominal cleaning and hip/leg cleaning. We'll let you know how that goes!

Other tidbits:

- She smiled again today when Jani told her that she can't wait for her to get better

- She wiggled her toes for Nick

- She watched The Sound of Music

- She turned her head and tried to open her eyes extra wide when Kelty told her about the new shirt I'd recently bought (ever the shop-a-holic)

- She's been sleeping, mostly, resting peacefully, which is great. Her stats are still the same as before, and she's still fighting a low-grade fever, but nothing to worry about, so they say. WBC in the normal range, coughing well (which means her lungs are getting a workout, preparing themselves to get off that machine). 

- The nurses are, as ever, marvelously on top of things. They've also been telling us the recipes they are creating with Justin's delicious vegetables. Pretty great.
