Hi guys,
We've just heard news that JoAnne's travel plans to Barcelona have been finalized with the insurance company! It's actually happening.
On Sunday December 2nd a nurse will fly in from Barcelona. She'll train with JoAnne and her PT Dana on Monday, learning how JoAnne transfers seats, deals with her ostomy bags and catheter, etc. They will depart this upcoming Tuesday, December 4th, very very early in the morning. JoAnne's flight is actually out of Seattle, so she'll drive via ambulance (Kelty & I may be able to hop a ride, too!). They'll fly first class from Seattle to New York City, and then from New York City to Barcelona first class again. Her family doctor/surgeon will welcome her to a beautiful hospital in Barcelona called Quiron, where she'll continue to heal and eventually move on to a rehab facility, then home! She has asked that Kelty and I wait to visit until she is ready to move home, as she'll likely need help with all that this next big step will require. We can't wait.
We are so excited about this news, as JoAnne has made so much progress and is really prepared mentally and physically to move on to the next phase of her recovery... what would we all have done without you?! I'll post or email out her new contact information as soon as we know it, and will likely still post every week or two with updates that JoAnne or MaryAnn/Cressida sends me.
In other news, JoAnne has really been taking her physical therapy to new heights... literally! See below. :)
Much love to you all,
Team JoJo

Happy happy joy joy!!! So exciting! I'm sure she is thrilled to be going HOME! So happy with her progress! Love you all so much!
